The best home-cooked Sirloin of my life

Cow = nom nom nom

Rather than go for the usual Friday night takeaway, last night I decided to spend the money on a good steak and cook it myself instead. There’s only so much Tandoori Chicken a man can eat. Been getting better at cooking these recently but last night’s had to be perfect, so I did a wee Google and found this recipe for the perfect sirloin steak. Was a little cynical at first (butter? balsamic vinegar? garlic bread?*) but I was soon proved wrong. Chowing down on this meaty bad boy I was in heaven. Definitely the best steak I’ve ever cooked. The timings are perfect for medium rare, and the butter/jus additions make it extra juicy and succulent. The only thing I’d change would be to rub pepper into the actual steak first too, as I like them a little peppery. Other than that, the only other thing I could have done to improve it was buy a better steak. Time to hit the Farmers Market. I have a bloodlust only half a kilo of sirloin can satisfy.
